Blackout Pole and Drape Hire

Blackout Pole and Drape, ‘IFR super wool serge blackout drapes, regularly used for creating borders around stage sets, in particular for creating blackout for venues, and acoustic dampening.

Black wool serge is made from 85% wool and has been an industry standard for curtains, in particular, within theatre, education, village halls and cinemas, and any other places with a stage. All Drapes are certified to BS5867 Part 2 Type B. Black wool serge is naturally flame retardant without the addition of any flame-retardant chemicals.

Black serge drapes are made to 3 meter widths as standard and sewn to a height of 3 meter and 4 meter. Blackout Pole and Drape wool serge curtains are the best for cutting out ambient light which would otherwise be a distraction from the action on the stage.

Aluminium Support system

This telescopic aluminium system is supplied with all Blackout orders, the uprights can be supplied in various heights, locking extendable crossbar system enables large runs to be created for large areas.

Please note that each section ordered contains a 3m x 3m wool serge drape, One upright and One horizontal bar spigot and base plate.
ONE additional upright spigot and base is supplied with every hire order for the first bay.

What size / quantity Blackout do I need?

We base the size of the Event Blackout Pole and Drape hire on the total distance requirement for your event.

1 unit = 3 meters
2 units = 6 meters
3 units = 9 meters

If you require more than one continuous independent length of Pole and Drape – calculate the total distance required and then add a quantity of single upright poles equal in number to the additional independent panel lengths (follow link)

Altogether we have over 150 meters of Blackout and pole system available.
